Rocky Patel The 1865 Project
Rocky Patel The 1865 Project, a project that benefits The Juneteenth Foundation. Despite the Emancipation Proclamation that was issued by President Lincoln in 1863, it wasn't until June 19, 1865 that General Gordon Granger delivered the No.3 to the people of Texas, finalizing the end of slavery in the U.S. The Juneteenth Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity that seeks to not only celebrate the federal holiday of Juneteenth but also help Black Americans in other ways through events, scholarships and other programs.
Rocky Patel is personally involved with The Juneteenth Foundation, and has crafted Rocky Patel 1865 Project. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these cigars are donated to The Juneteenth Foundation. Rolled at the factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, the cigar uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, a double binder from Honduras and Nicaragua, and all-Nicaraguan fillers. With a medium-full intensity, these cigars showcase rich and long-lasting flavors of peppery earth and black pepper, toasted oak an everlasting chocolate sweetness throughout the finish.
